Since its inception in April of 2008, Rainfall and its members have stood out in their respective fields due to the quality and professionalism of their work. Below is a current list of recent achievements.
  • // Stash Magazine Featured Artist
    Description: Rainfall sister company Runsilent was the featured audio artist in Stash Magazine's December '11 issue, which included 8 downloadable music tracks.
  • // G4 Epictober Film Festival: Opening Selection
    Project: The Hunt
    Description: Rainfall's horror short film The Hunt, executive produced by Joe Lynch, was the Opening Selection for G4tv's Epictober Film Festival event.
  • // MTV Video Music Award
    Project: Britney Spears: Till the World Ends
    Description: Rainfall produced the visual effects for Britney's video, which won Best Pop Video at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.
  • // 2011 Telly Awards
    Project: The Damage Done
    Description: Our western short The Damage Done won three Telly Awards, for production, sound design and people's choice.
  • // 1st Place Winner, DVX WESTFEST 2010, Vimeo Staff Pick
    Project: The Damage Done
    Description: The in-house short film, The Damage Done, won the 1st Place prize in the summer of 2010 at the DVX WESTFEST. It also was featured on the Vimeo home page as a staff pick.
  • // Mythic Journeys Festival Awards
    Project: Mythic Journeys
    Description: Mythic Journeys, scored by Stuart Balcomb, has been awarded Best Documentary (Rome Intl Film Festival), Audience Award (Dances with Films), and Best Animated Film (Dragon*Con).
  • // Best Sound Editing
    Project: Eros
    Description: Our sister company, Runsilent, won an award for Best Sound Editing at the International Independent Short Film Festival Donetsk 09 for the experimental short film, Eros.
  • // Zelda Trailer #1 for 2008
    Project: The Legend of Zelda April Fools Trailer
    Description: By the end of 2008, IGN.com announced the Rainfall produced Zelda trailer as their most-watched video of the year, edging out trailers for The Dark Knight, Iron Man, and Grand Theft Auto 4.
  • // Stuart Balcomb Interview
    Project: 1000 Journals

    Description: Composer Stuart Balcomb has been interviewed for the film 1000 Journals at the Port Townsend Film Festival. He will also preside over the Q&A following the film's screenings.
  • // Gravity & Grace Review
    Project: Gravity & Grace
    Description: Composer Stuart Balcomb's yoga score Gravity & Grace was called "a work of art," and "approaching the limitless divide between classical, world, and movie soundtrack music" in this 2008 review.
  • // Promax Design Award
    Project: G4 Rebranding
    Description: The G4tv rebrand, a collaborative effort between studio Onesize and Rainfall composer Jeff Dodson, took silver at the Promax BDA awards in June of 2008. Jeff provided all the sound design and music for the rebrand to much critical acclaim.
  • // Xplsv.tv Featured Showreel
    Description: Our 2008 showreel became the featured video of the day on Xplsv.tv only days after it was released.
  • // Phirebrush.com Interviews
    Description: The excellent online magazine Phirebrush published featured interviews with director Sam Balcomb in issue #61, and composer Jeff Dodson in issue #63.
  • // NAB 2008
    Project: The Legend of Zelda April Fools Trailer
    Description: The april fools trailer was featured heavily at the 2008 NAB show, including screenings at multiple vendor booths. It was also the opening video in Redrock's keynote address.
  • // 2007 Telly Award
    Project: The Ore
    Description: Directors Sam Balcomb and Jesse Soff won a Telly award in 2007 for their science fiction short film, The Ore.
  • // Best Music Video, Elevate Film Festival
    Project: Missy Higgins, Steer
    Description: Director Sam Balcomb won the top prize for his music video Steer by multi-platinum artist Missy Higgins. It has become her official American video for that single in 2008, to coincide with the album release.
  • // Grand Prize Winner, DVXFest 2005
    Project: Texas Fortune
    Description: Directors Sam Balcomb and Jesse Soff won first place in the 2005 horror-themed DVXFest with their film entry.
  • // Outstanding Achievement, Elevate Film Festival
    Project: The Black Door
    Description: In their first appearance at the Elevate Films Festival, directors Sam Balcomb and Jesse Soff won this award for their film entry The Black Door, shot and finished in 48 hours.
